The Schedule
The season will begin on Monday night, October 26th and continue until May 24th with one week off between Christmas and New Year. Our normal race night will begin with practice open from 7-7:40pm, a mandatory pre-race drivers meeting in discord from 7:40-7:45pm, then qualifying from 7:45-8pm, and finally, the green flag dropping at approximately 8:02pm.
Race Night Officiating
Kevin @ xtremescoring and xtremeracecontrol will again be our live race night official. As race director, he will make the calls the determine penalties and actions not automatically issued by iracing. Kevin will monitor all race track activities including but not limited to starts, restarts, pit actions, yellow flags, stage breaks, accidents and altercations. If, during an accident or altercation a driver calls on him to review an incident he will do so and, if he deems it worthy, will administer a penalty ranging from a green flag drive thru pit penalty, an eol, 5 lap lap hold on pit row, or an event DQ. The specifics of these penalties will be covered in more detail here soon, and during the drivers meeting.
The Tracks/Races
The race schedule has yet to be determined, but each 10 race segment will include 1 road course and a mix of short, intermediate, and superspeedway tracks. Each segment will also include 1 WILD CARD event, which could mean an unconventional track or racing surface (think DIRT...RAIN.. HEAT... Older Track Configuration etc.). All tracks will utilize a fixed setup iracing has designed specifically for that track.
Broadcasting the Events
Our team is working hard to create the ability to have our events LIVE broadcast utilizing a combination of an a.i. and human! This will be state of the art and cutting edge for iracing. Stay tuned for more on this soon!
Recruiting
NOW is the time to begin recruiting for season 5. Every Monday night from now until opening night we will be hosting a recruitment race in HOSTED titled WSL Free Beer Recruitment Race. We need lots of participation, and lots of communication with prospective league members. Our dues will be $50 for the entirety of the 30 race season, which includes paying for our scoring system, the website, the live race director, iracing fees and all broadcasting. That's pretty cheap for 8 months of action and entertainment! Let's add some quality drivers!
Help
We are looking for a human broadcaster as well as a website manager to increase content, post to multiple media outlets, and help us grow. We also need a few volunteers to serve as a technical support team for our league members and their equipment. Contact us if interested.
